Position Description – Data Manager and Administrative Assistant

Primary Role:

The Data Manager and Administrative Assistant person will provide administration support for the IDA Program Director and IDA Success Coaches.

Reports To:    Individual Development Account Program Director

Duties:

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Enters data on each new class of IDA participants into Outcome Tracker.
  • Updates deposits on a monthly basis on each IDA participant.
  • Provides information needed for reports from Outcome Tracker.
  • Mails information/applications about IDA Program as requested by interested persons.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.
  • Mails reminder notices to participants of upcoming meetings and information for Success Coaches and/or Program Director conducive to NC ROMA principles.
  • Attends and takes minutes during the IDA Working Group Meetings.
  • Aids in planning and attends Economic Literacy classes.
  • Weekly update of Outcome Tracker.

Ambassadorship

  • Serves as an ambassador for the Experiment in Self-Reliance and respect the integrity of the organization.
  • Serves as a team player and assists in furthering the mission of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate with at least 2 years of increasing office/administrative experience.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer data-entry processes, Microsoft programs, and other related software programs.
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills also required.

 

Position Description-Priority Schools Outreach Coordinator

Primary Role

The Priority Schools Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for all direct work with clients and serve as liaison between the school system, principles, and engagement staff at the priority school. This individual will assist each client in developing a case plan and work closely with the client to achieve the benchmarks in the case plan by providing timely counseling and appropriate intervention in order to assist each client along in successfully completing their case plan.  The Priority Schools Outreach Coordinator’s primary focus is to be a liaison between Experiment in Self Reliance and the school system personal in adding the case management for the parents of children in the priority schools. This individual will also be responsible for making enrollment decisions, facilitating referral services and consulting with immediate supervisors regarding any client that may need additional developmental planning to achieve self-sufficiency.

Reports To:    Self-Sufficiency and Family Advocate Service Manager

Duties:

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Provides written documentation for enrollment process.
  • Provides programmatic statistical data by funding source to Program Service Manager monthly.
  • Provides written documentation for enrollment process.
  • Participates in bi-monthly contact with clients to monitor case plan progress.
  • Assists in the development of the case plan by monitoring, evaluating, modifying case plan when necessary.
  • Maintains working knowledge of programs, guidelines and other related regulations pertaining to the clientele.
  • Utilizes supervision effectively.
  • Maintains accurate case files as defined by program guidelines and maintain AR4CA computerized client record system conducive to NC ROMA principles.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.

Enhancing Community Collaboration

  • Provides ESR core services on site for collaborating partners.
  • Serves as the liaison on partner agency committees relating that serves the underserved citizens.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and/or background in social work.
  • Must be an experienced caseworker with a 4-year college degree.
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong at building capacity.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • Possess a valid NC drivers’ license and have personal transportation available.
  • Must have working knowledge of computer data entry process, Microsoft programs, and other related software programs.

 

Position Description – Priority School Success Coach I

Primary Role:

The Success Coach will be responsible for all direct work with clients. The Success Coach will assist each client in developing the Case Plan, and work closely with the client to achieve the benchmarks in the case plan, by providing timely counseling and appropriate intervention in order to assist each client along in successfully completing their case plan.  This individual is primarily responsible for assisting the parents of the children in the priority schools. The Success Coach will work closely with other community agencies to assure self-sufficiency.

Duties:

  • Maintains a minimum of 35 caseloads.
  • Participates and provide written and oral documentation for weekly case management enrollment process.
  • Provides monthly contact with clients to monitor case plan progress.
  • Assists in the development of the case plan by monitoring, evaluating and modifying case plan when needed.
  • Provides profile information to Program Manager.
  • Assists in other special projects as determined by Priority School Outreach Coordinator and reports to the Director of Asset Building and Self-Reliant Program Developer.
  • Performs other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintains accurate case files as defined by program guidelines and maintains AR4CA computerized client record system conducive to NC ROMA principles and communicates weekly with priority school personnel.
  • Provides programmatic statistical data by funding sources to Priority School Outreach Coordinator monthly.
  • Assisting parents of the children within the priority schools.

Licensed Professional Counselor

Our Licensed Professional Counselor is accountable for assisting willing and capable individuals reach economic self-sufficiency through employment.   The Counselor will stabilize program participants by encouraging responsible and healthy choices promote individual’s abilities to gain and retain successful employment.  This person needs to be direct, realistic, shrewd, but compassionate. This person can’t be an enabler and cannot take on a caseload for extensive psychotherapy  
 
The Licensed Professional Counselor will be responsible for the following duties: 

  • Referring members who need more intensive services to other available resources.
  • Providing brief forms of treatment and counseling with members of the program
  • Assessment/referral/treatment of chemical dependency issues and/or acute /chronic mental health problems
  • Case management/referral and coordination with other community and behavioral health services
  • Working collaboratively in a team environment, as member and behavioral health specialist. 

EDUCATION:  Master’s degree in behavioral health discipline.
 
EXPERIENCE:  Experience providing individual therapy and experience with clients meeting the demographic and clinical characteristics of Goodwill Works.  Experience with assessment and referral.  Individual will be responsible for maintaining appropriate licensure and/or certifications. 
 
HOURS:   Position will require scheduling flexibility during an 8am-5pm Monday through Friday time frame and will average 24-29 hours a week.
 
Pay:  $20.52 per hour

 

Retail Store Manager

  • Maximizing profits and managing daily operations of the store, ensuring that production goals are met by staff. 
  • Creating a positive store environment for staff and customers. 
  • Hiring, scheduling, counseling and terminating staff.  Payroll/timekeeping. 
  • Ensuring production goals and sales goals are met. 
  • Closing store, reconciling cash with daily sales reports and secures facility for night. 
  • Tracking expenses and maintaining reasonable expenses while maximizing sales. 
  • Preparing and maintain records of store operations including daily sales reports, cash deposits and opening/closing reports. 
  • Cash register/customer service. 
  • Receiving, pricing and stocking donations.  (Receivers may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds.) 
  • Hanging/Inspecting/Tagging textile & clothing in a production style setting.

REQUIRES VALID NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER LICENSE (for store deposits, etc.)

EDUCATION:   High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE:  Requires two to three years of management or assistant management experience having cash control responsibility. 

HOURS: Most stores are open M-Sat from 8am-8pm and open at 1pm on Sundays.

PAY:  $44,000.00

Retail Assoc - Donations Receiver

Donations Sorters/Pricers are team-oriented, friendly and go out of their way to help our donors.  They are able to lift incoming donations (up to 50 lbs.) and are able to evaluate the merchandise and price it appropriately.  We seek individuals who make work a priority and who enjoy meeting high expectations in a fast-paced environment. 
 
Donations Sorters/Pricers will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Greeting donors and unloading donated goods. 
  • Providing friendly and informed customer service to donors, assisting with receipts.
  • Maintaining a safe and neat work environment- taking pride in the efficiency of their area.
  • Position may include cross-training in the following areas: Cash Register, Hanging/Inspecting/Tagging textile & clothing in a production style setting.Receivers may occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift and carry 10 to 35 pounds.
