Enclave Apartments

This initiative at Winston Salem’s Enclave Apartments is ABC’s first hands-on work with local residents. This is a pilot initiative to test whether a high-touch hands-on approach in a single, low-income neighborhood can help people attain and keep assets and improve financial stability. The goal is not service delivery, but to demonstrate an effective place-based approach for building assets. If a meaningful percentage of Enclaves residents can be supported to be financially literate and improve their debt, credit and savings situation, this will provide a model for others and create an advocacy tool for mobilizing resources and influencing policy.
