In Forsyth County, inequitable systems limit opportunity for people, especially burdening communities of color. In 2019, Black or African American and Hispanic/Latino households experienced asset poverty at more than double the rate of White households.
The ABC has a different vision for our community — that every person has a solid foundation of financial stability on which to build their life.
To realize this vision, we must all work together to transform our systems and deliver equity to all. This requires a fundamental shift in policies, practices, resources, and power structures so that everyone can thrive, regardless of their race, gender, ZIP code, education, or income level.
Join us as we explore data and stories that illuminate the day-to-day reality experienced by so many in Forsyth County, and use these conversations as a springboard into identifying the many ways we can all take action to change our community for the better.
